Annual Golf Outing
The Joliet Chamber’s Annual Golf Outing will take place on Monday, August 2nd at the Joliet Country Club. Please set this day aside and spend a fun, relaxing day with your Chamber friends. Chamber Night at Silver Cross Field
Friday, August 6 will be Chamber Night at Silver Cross Field. Bring your family, friends and co-workers/employees to see the Joliet Jackhammers take on the Schaumburg Flyers at 7:10 p.m. HALF PRICE TICKETS ($5.00) are available for purchase at the Chamber office. Tickets must be picked up and purchased in person at the Chamber office, located at 63 N. Chicago St., Joliet.
Community Leadership School
Watch for upcoming information on Community Leadership School (CLS) 2010. Sessions will begin on Thursday, September 2nd and continue each Thursday for eleven weeks. Registration is on a first-come-first-serve basis – only the first 40 applicants will be accepted. Contact the Chamber for further information.

Membership Event Wrap-Up
Thank you to all of our Volunteers (approximately 120) that helped in a variety of ways during the Chamber 2010 Membership Event. Special thanks to Chair Persons: Steve Laken, Mark Papoccia, Shawn Walsh, Lisa Las, Tom Grotovsky, Mark Karner and Susan Stockwell. These individuals led a total of 26 teams of callers into battle over a two day period and helped us walk away with nearly 100 new members after all will be accounted for.

MEMBER NOTES & NEWS BRIEFS
The City of Joliet continues to earn accolades for its highly successful 2009 promotions and special events, receiving both Golden & Silver Trumpet Awards from the Publicity Club of Chicago for outstanding achievement in public relations. The City received a Gold Trumpet Award in the category of Marketing for the 2009 Joliet “Play Campaign” and a Silver Trumpet Award in the category of Special Events for the July 2009 “Incarceration Cell-a-bration” Grand Opening of the Old Joliet Prison Park.
The Joliet Park District would like to announce that registration is now open for the 2010 Woodruff Golf Championship. This year’s event will take place on June 12 and 13 at Woodruff Golf Course, located at 621 N. Gougar Road. The entry fee is $30 per player. This does not include greens fees or cart fees. Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet announced the addition of a prenatal heart specialist and sophisticated fetal echo cardiology services to detect and treat fetal heart problems possibly as early as during pregnancy. The new capabilities can uncover a wide range of fetal heart defects.
Stepping Stones, Inc. recently received a three-year accreditation from the Commission of Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities International. This is Stepping Stones seventh consecutive three-year accreditation, the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded.
Theodore Kanellakes of Joliet was elected trustee for the second district of the Illinois State Medical Society during its 2010 annual meeting.
University of St. Francis is offering a Lunchtime MBA program beginning August 2010. Join working professionals in the Joliet/Will County area to advance your management skills. Founded in 1996, ATI Physical Therapy provides those in need of customized rehabilitation with research-based services in physical therapy, work conditioning/hardening, functional capacity evaluations, sports medicine and performance, women's health, aquatic therapy and hand therapy.
